Are you the Knights Life Insurance Co.?

Can you please tell me if you were originally the Knights Life Insurance Company that sold life insurance in Pittsburgh, PA back around the late 1940's or early 1950's? If you are not, can you offer any suggestions on how I can locate this company or who may have bought them out.

Jean, my husband just found an old policy from when he was a 9. It is a policy from Knights Life in Pittsburgh. We are also wondering how to find any info about this company. My email is [email protected] if you find anything out. We sure would appreciate anything you could tell us.

According to what I see, American General has taken them over. I have 3 policies for my parents datng from 40's 50's also from Pittsburgh area.

Knights Life was bought by American General out of Nashville. Their number is 800 888 2452. You'll need the social of the policyowner.

If you go to the American General Life Ins Co. website and look in the history, it shows every company they bought out or merged with.

Thanks for this info. I was born in Pittsburgh and since my parents are both deceased I am trying to find out if this policy is good. I'll try the 800 number.
