Accidental death insurance

What is the difference between accidental death insurance vs. term or whole life insurance? What kind of person is an accidental death insurance policy right for instead of a plain term/whole policy?

Accidental death insurance will ONLY pay a death benefit due to any type of accidental death. Accidental death insurance will not pay a benefit if the death was related to any natural cause (heart attack or cancer etc.) Term and whole life insurance will pay a death benefit for any type death, natural or accidental. I believe all people should purchase either term or whole life insurance and only purchase accidental death as an supplement.
