What’s the difference between Single Life, Joint Life & Dual Life Insurance?

The difference between these life insurance policies is in the number of people they insure, and how they pay out. A single life policy insures just one person. Joint life and dual life are similar in that they insure 2 people. However, the payouts are different. A joint policy pays out only on one person’s death – either the first to die, or the second to die. A dual policy on the other hand insures 2 people independently. It is just like having 2 separate policies, because it pays out on the death of both.
