Should I get insurance for my spouse? What if she is a homemaker?

The notion that stay at home partners don’t need life insurance is false. These days the cost of home care services such as cooking, cleaning, running errands and child care are quite expensive. If something happened to your spouse, you would suffer a financial set back, and it would be difficult for you to handle this even as you cope with the loss of a loved one. I urge you to put a value to each job she does for the family, even something as trivial as grocery shopping, and you will get a clearer idea of how much to insure her for.
