is there whole life insurance available for seniors with less than perfect health?

There are many carriers that offer whole life policies to seniors with
health problems. They are simplified underwritten ( no medical) a
half dozen questions, issue ages to 80, 85, 90 depending on company.

Whole life insurance is not just available to seniors, but is also recommended for them. Rather than having no life insurance or a huge term life insurance, experts advise that seniors should opt for a small whole life insurance policy that can cover their funeral expenses, pay any estate taxes that may be due, and provide an additional source of income to the surviving spouse so they can maintain the same lifestyle.
If you’re in less than perfect health, chances are that you may have to pay a higher premium on your life insurance policy. You should also know that some health issues can actually make you uninsurable. In that case, you may have to try getting a no medical exam life insurance policy which is available in both term and whole life form!
