Will I be denied life insurance because of herpes?

I am a 32 year old female and unfortunately have herpes. I would like to purchase life insurance, will I be denied because of that? Will the premiums be higher than usual? Besides the herpes I'm healthy.

I see the different attitude to this question from insurance companies.

First
"Since herpes will not kill you, shorten your life, or lead to any other diseases, there is absolutely no reason why it would affect your life insurance policy in any way whatsoever."

Second
Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co. lost a lawsuit in New Jersey state court brought by a disability insurance (DI) policyholder who filed a claim in 1992 after she was forced to terminate her career due to a severe flare-up of genital herpes. The plaintiff had caught herpes 20 years earlier, but it had lain dormant. Northwestern, which issued the DI policy in 1987, had refused the claim on the grounds that the plaintiff had not revealed her medical condition. The verdict is thought to be the first of its kind.

YES!
The application does include a question about STDs...
If you have been "treated" for STD in that time period - you'd have to tell them (like being on a prescription)
If you HAVE NOT BEEN "TREATED" for any STD in that time period (have not been to a Dr - self-treated...etc)
