Diabetic needing insurance

I am 46 and recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Other than this I have always been extremely healthy, perfect weight, blood pressure, no cholesterol issues, etc.. I have controlled the diabetes with oral medication, regular exercise and diet. I see my doctor every 3 months since this occurred and have normal A1c and blood sugar.

I currently live in the state of California and am interested in $500k at 10 or 15 years. Are there special insurance companies that deal with diabetics? How much should I expect to pay monthly? Are there discounts for paying the policy in full up front?
