life insurance chart

I am new to this and shopping around for life insurance. i am in the midst of shopping around for 10 year term life insurance policy but i am curious to learn more about whole life insurance too. Is there a chart that can help me figure out what it would cost for $250,000 policy for instance? What would the monthly or annual payments be and for how many years?

Thank you.

In order to actually compare rates and look at prices you would need to request a free quote for life insurance.

Otherwise you could read a review of term life insurance vs permanent life insurance and find out what the benefits and drawbacks of each are before choosing a plan.

Why 10 years?

i mention a 10 year term just to start me off with getting an idea and comparing quotes. I may decide on a 30 year term. I have also recently learned that there is life insurance plan which includes term/whole life. i am interested in that too.

Time frame is extremely important when deciding on a level-term life insurance policy.

I am of the opinion that a person should buy Whole Life as early as possible in life, because it becomes a great asset no matter what happens in your life down the road.

Before you just buy a term policy, you need to consider what you are wanting to protect, and for how long.

What you really need to come to realization of is you will always have a need for a large, tax-free amount of money to go to someone or something in the event of your death.

Mark, it all depends on your age and health status. That amount all in whole life insurance will probally be around 4,000 annual if you are around 30. If you want to spend a little less then you can get a mixed product which is whole and term in one policy and the eventually the policy slowly starts replacing the term with whole life insurance. If you want to get a quote or need a sold explanation of how it works feel free to contact me.

NY Financial Pro - Was that figure of $4,000/year for Mark's policy of $250K? I am exactly 30, in good shape and health, and am in the market for $1mm-1.5mm. I'm looking to get an idea of how much that will cost me.

Mark,
According to our quote engine which you now see at the top of this page, you can get $250,000, 10 year term for under $200 a year.

Rob,
I also ran a quick check for the coverage you are looking for and you can get $1,000,000 of 10 year term for $517 a year, or the same amount, 30 year term for $1,030 per year.
