The Gerber life insurance company has been in business since 1967, and is an affiliate of the baby food company of the same name. Legal guardians, parents and grandparents of a child may purchase the Grow-Up policy which will cover the life insurance needs of the child beginning when it is two weeks old. The policy may be purchased up until the child reaches fourteen.
The Grow-Up policy was one of the first of its kind. It carries many benefits that the child can use later on in life. The whole life coverage premiums will not rise, and after age eighteen its payoff will double. The policy may be increased when they are adults and it will keep its value as at payoff its minimum return will at least equal all of the money that has been paid into the policy.
