Ameritas Life Insurance Corporation was founded in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1887. When Ameritas Life Insurance Corporation began, it was called Old Line Bankers Life Insurance Company of Nebraska. By the first half of the 20th century it grew to have operations extending both coasts. In 1988 they changed their name to Ameritas Life Insurance to reflect their broad range of doing business.
Ameritas Life Insurance Corporation now offers life insurance and annuities, group dental and eye care, individual disability insurance, and other financial services. All of their products and services are flexible and convenient for every person. They now operate as part of the UNIFI companies and are a national reaching company.
